What is in your cleansing bar?

Key active ingredients include Activated Charcoal, Organic Tea Tree Oil and Sustainable Shea Butter, a full list of ingredients is below: Ingredients: Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Aqua (Water, Eau), Glycerin, Charcoal Powder, Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Sodium Citrate, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid

What does Charcoal & Tea Tree Oil actually do?

Both of these amazing ingredients can help calm oily skin and keep breakouts at bay and keep your skin looking balanced, clear and hydrated.

Activated Charcoal - gently draws out deep down bacteria, toxins and excess oil

Organic Tea Tree Oil - a natural antiseptic reduces inflammation and keeps skin clear & healthy

Does the product contain Palm Oil?

Yes. We have sourced the finest sustainable palm oil to bring you the best formulation possible while being conscious about the origins of our ingredients. This is why we are a member of the Round Table for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)

How often should I use your cleansing bar?

For a deep clean feeling use Carbon Theory daily.

Is your cleansing bar suitable for sensitive skin?

The premium natural ingredients are effective yet kind to your skin. The product is suitable for sensitive skin but would recommend a patch test if you are concerned.

Will the cleansing bar dry my skin out?

All skin is different but our studies have shown that our high glycerin base and the Shea Butter we added to our formulation has left skin hydrated and nourished after use.

Will the product help with Acne?

The product was developed to prevent breakouts as well clear up moderate acne. The studies we have undertaken with a group of problem skin sufferers has proven that the product is effective on acne through removing excess oil, toxins and reducing inflammation in problem areas.

Are Carbon Theory products safe to use when pregnant?

Yes! Our natural formulations are tested to the highest global standard and perfectly safe during and post pregnancy.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping Information

All orders, excluding pre-orders, are processed within 2 days. Orders are not dispatched on weekends or holidays. 

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery.

If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email.

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

Carbon Theory is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).


Carbon Theory is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

International Shipping

Our international shipping rate is a standard economy service and can take up to two weeks for delivery.

Returns & Refunds Policy

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you an exchange or refund.

To be eligible for an exchange or refund, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. 

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
